My brother in law is one of those people that gets all worked up about getting camp fires started the old fashion way. Now cutting it shavings and using a flint and steel is fun and all,  but I like to use starter fluid and a match.

As long as you aren’t applying the propane torch directly to the steak, I’ll allow it. G rill-on!

Mapp gas and a quart of 10w30 work well to get a fire started too....  so I’ve heard...

Im amazed how much fuel they can pack in one of those. I got through my entire suspension with many rusty bolts and I think it still has plenty of fuel to go.

Next time try a 50/50 blend of used motor oil and kerosene. That’ll get just about anything burning.

I light my charcoal grill with a MAP torch - it takes 5 minutes and I regret nothing.

In high school when I went camping with friends one of them lit campfires with gasoline. Today, a buddy and I sometimes  light fires with kerosene. Those are cheating. A propane torch is just convenience.
